The British Virgin Islands (“BVI”) are an English-speaking Dependent Territory of the United Kingdom, located in the Caribbean off Puerto Rico. The BVI have developed the reputation of a perfect private offshore international financial center, and the Government is now trying to make e-business a third pillar in its economy.

The following questions have been addressed in this article:

Can an e-business operate as an International Business Company?
Is the tax regime of the BVI favorable to the development of e-businesses?
