Today, computer crime is much more than the unpleasantness of offensive advertising. Fraud and intellectual property crimes cost e-commerce substantial amounts in lost profits. Earning the Diploma in Global Cybercrime Law will advance knowledge and business skills of online professionals in a variety of fields; including, but not limited to, banking, information technology, Security Systems Management, Public Sectors, Private Sectors, Retail and other business executives and entrepreneurs who need to protect their online presence against Cybercrimes.
The curriculum of Diploma in Global Cybercrime Law is designed to show:
- How to protect against Internet Fraud?
- The use of encryption and cryptography and how it impacts privacy and security issues?
- How to defend against cyber stalking and online harassment?
- How can banks, online retailers and consumers protect themselves against fraudulent e-mails?
- What constitutional concerns are raised by intellectual property cybercrimes?
- What different govt. statutes regulate criminal activities related to cybercrimes?
- What are the international cyber-crime initiatives?

Quarterly Theme - Copyrights on the Internet Continuing with this month's newsletter, IBLS is presenting its quarterly theme on important areas of Copyright. A selected theme is covered in a special summary from the IBLS database.
This month's selected summary will show how an e-business can avoid Internet copyright infringement. Given the variety of material involved in the set up and operation of a website (text content, images, etc.), it is very easy for an e-business to inadvertently become a copyright infringer. Copyright infringement actions carry severe penalties, and thus e-businesses should make sure that measures are put into place to prevent copyright infringement.
Selected summary titled "How To Avoid Internet Copyright Infringement?" describes some of these preventive measures.
