IBLS Strategic Global Summit For E-Commerce in Retrospective IBLS is continually seeking to inform and educate those who do business online about the risks and liabilities inherent in the process. Last week, IBLS held an important gathering which brought together leaders and visionaries in the field of Internet Law and e-Business.
The IBLS Strategic Global Summit For E-Commerce was an exchange of ideas as to what various countries are doing to regulate the Internet, and how businesses and lawyers can comply with the array of global directives to legally conduct business via E-Commerce.
Speakers candidly discussed details as to what they see happening regarding Internet regulations, insights as to what their countries or organizations are doing, and specific tips as to what E-Commerce focused lawyers and business people should be doing to stay ahead of the curve.
With the enthusiastic participation of keynote speaker U.S. Federal Trade Commissioner Mozelle W. Thompson and others, question and answer sessions turned into educational courses of their own, with speakers and attendees discussing specific situations of E-Commerce policy, predicting future trends, and encouraging further dialogue after the summit. The biggest challenge of the two day event was moving on to the next speaker, with so much important information being shared.

U.S. Federal Trade Commissioner Mozelle W. Thompson at the IBLS Summit
Commissioner Thompson commented that he goes to many conferences around the world, but that this Summit was really unique as IBLS had speakers discussing issues that just were not being dealt with anywhere else. This encapsulates what IBLS is about - providing quality Internet Law knowledge to assist anyone who does business online.
