IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 27, 2003--International Business Law Services (IBLS) has recently taken steps to ensure its global reach into Europe with the announcements of the opening of its Brussels office (IBLS Europe), multiple projects with the European Commission (EC), and opening of the company's EU Law Portal.

IBLS EU Law Portal Launched

IBLS has announced the launch of its EU Law portal, www.eulaw.ibls.com. This portal provides IBLS' global audience with new avenues to hone in on the trends, regulations, and laws that comprise the various European jurisdictions as they relate to doing business online.

With its timely analysis, and use of IBLS content written by Charter Partners, the EU Law site is quickly becoming the premier resource of Internet law from a European perspective.

In conjunction with the opening of IBLS headquarters in Brussels, Alain Megias, a French attorney experienced in Internet law, has been appointed as its director. "The EU Law Portal allows the EC audience direct access to the latest developments and trends in the field of e-commerce," commented Megias.

As director, Megias coordinates contributions from IBLS' European Charter Partners, legal experts in Internet & e-commerce law who demonstrate their proficiency by writing summaries from their jurisdiction's viewpoint.

European Commission Taps IBLS Expertise for Information Society Web Site

As a part of the EC's coordination with international players and organizations on a global level, IBLS Internet and e-commerce law content is now available via the EC Information Society site in multiple sections.

In addition, IBLS CEO Ana Penn has been included in the EC "Board of Experts" further distinguishing the achievements IBLS is making to harmonizing the global laws and regulations concerning the Internet.
