INTERNET LAW - United Kingdom Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000

The United Kingdom Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, implementing European Council Directive (97/7/EC), came into force on October 31, 2000. It aims to protect consumers when buying at a distance, including Internet purchases, and to provide confidence on distance purchase methods.
