| | Venezuelan Certification Authority Superintendency (SUSCERTE) credited and certified the First Certification Authority in Venezuela, PROCERT.
The Superintendency of Electronic Certification Services (SUSCERTE) recently approved the Company "Proveedor de Certificados, PROCERT, C.A.” as the first Company in Venezuela officially authorized to provide electronic certification services as established by the Venezuelan Electronic Signature and data Messages Law. | | Since 2007, the FBI has very quietly put together a cadre of professionals with U.S. intelligence and other agencies to help battle crime on the Internet to help identify and respond to cyber threats against the United States. The name of the group is the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF), and the FBI has a number of persons training together at an unnamed location near Washington. The leader of the new group is Shawn Henry, the FBI's deputy assistant director of the cyber division. Henry has stated the group is made up of intelligence, law-enforcement and other agencies from the U.S. government.

The meeting discussed a draft programme - Strategy for Developing an Information Society in Russia – presented by the Security Council. The document outlines steps for implementing a development strategy that would see the share of production based on information and communications technology increase to at least 8 percent of total national exports by 2015.

Belarus intends to combine national and self-regulation to guarantee the right to receive and exchange information, including governmental data, while protecting individual privacy and national security. | | In the countries based on Civil Law System the approach to the adoption of the Digital Signature has been quite complicated.
The European Directive numbered 1999/93/CE provides a basic discipline on the matter, and it has been received by National Legislators with the introduction of a more detailed discipline and with integrations. In the Italian Legal system the digital signature based on asymmetric cryptography is recognized and equalized to all the effects of law to the autograph signature on paper. [More...] |
