The Trips Agreement

Because of the global nature of the Internet, there is a need to protect intellectual property on a global basis. The WTO’s Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) is one of the agreements that have been used to uniformly enforce international intellectual property interests.
