Taiwanese Recognition Of U.s. Copyright Law

In the United States, the Supreme Court will determine the duration of a copyright and the right to receive further royalties. The copyright act had been extended to have the maximum term of copyright to life of the author plus seventy years. The duration of a copyright is now being challenged, because opponents to the Copyright Extension Act have believed that Congress has enacted this legislation due to corporate pressure. However, in Taiwan, officials have stated that they will not honor the Copyright Extension Act.
