Digital Choice And Freedom Act Of 2002Washington lawmakers have been introducing legislation that deals with the fair use of digital works of copyrighted works. Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) has introduced the “Digital Choice and Freedom Act of 2002” (“DCFA”) which is designed to protect a consumer’s ability to enjoy digital copyrighted material. At the same time, Representatives Rick Boucher (D-Virginia.) and John Doolittle (D-California) introduced the Digital Media Consumers Rights Act to preserve specific fair-use rights to copy digital works as well as "circumvention" rights to bypass copy protections.
