Computer Crimes Under French Law

French law includes several provisions that could be used to protect computer systems against computer crimes. The Penal Code, for instance, incriminates the act of accessing fraudulently an automated data system. Although the agencies in charge of investigating computer crimes are technically competent, their efficiency might suffer from a lack of coordination on the international level.
