Electronic Commerce Security Standards

The standards of electronic commerce security has been explored. Ziff Davis Media will pay $125,000 to end a multistate investigation into a security breach on its computer system that exposed some 12,000 subscription orders last year. The company had a settlement agreement with the attorneys general of Vermont, New York and California and has agreed to implement security measures to safeguard data on its systems. Security breaches have exposed consumers to instances of identity fraud which has been addressed by the state attorney general’s office.
