New Proposed Federal Electronic Filing System

Electronic filing would give the benefit of linking the courts, lawyers and the general public and would provide electronic connectivity between different jurisdictions as well. A new federal electronic filing system is being tested as a pilot program. CM/ECF systems are now in use in ten district courts, thirty-five bankruptcy courts, and the Court of International Trade. These filing have streamlined the judicial system and make the proceedings easier for the court, the attorneys and the general public.
