Internet Service Providers Petitioned To Modify Their Policy To Give Users Notice Of Pending Legal Action Against Them

In an attempt to protect users against lawsuits, civil liberties and privacy groups have contacted Internet Service Providers (ISP) to honor users’ interests. These groups have asked ISPs to adopt policies in which users would be able to have their constitutional rights to free speech. The increase in CyberSLAPP lawsuits in order to intimate or silence speech has caused the need to change policies.
