Constitutionality Issues Of Banning Prison Inmate Receiving Internet Materials

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Prison Law Office have petitioned a federal court to challenge the constitutionality of a California prison policy that prevents inmates from receiving any mail that contains materials that are downloaded from the Internet even it is printed electronic mail. This case has a potential persuasive impact, because other prisons could legislate very similar policies in other states.
