Encryption Export Regulations

Although encryption export regulations have become more relaxed in the last few years, there is still some control over what is encrypted to other countries. Cryptography is export-controlled for several reasons which include the fact that strong cryptography can be used for criminal purposes or even as a weapon of war. Cryptographic technologies are therefore subject to export controls.
