In Rem Jurisdiction Permitted under the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act

Under the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA), in rem jurisdiction is allowed; and therefore, actions may be brought in the United States even against foreign defendants. This article illustrates on a U.S. pioneering case holding that by registering a .com site with VeriSign- a US registry- jurisdiction requirements were met.
