Icann Faces Harsh Criticism As It Decides To Make Reforms

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (“ICANN”) has been receiving negative feedback from lawmakers, consumers and inside tension within ICANN from its directors. ICANN has published a series of reform proposals that would decrease its democratic structure and make it more of an independent entity. These reforms have fueled harsh criticism due to ICANN’s pattern of not holding open meetings nor being able to substantiate its fiscal decisions.
