The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is an international organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It is one of 16 specialized agencies of the United Nations system of organizations and it administers 23 international treaties with different aspects of intellectual property protection. WIPO’s 179 Member Nations are dedicated to protecting creative works and use of intellectual property, helping to ensure that the rights of intellectual property owners are protected worldwide and that inventors and authors are recognized and rewarded for their creativity.
