Libyan Trademark Law

Following Libya’s cancellation of all trademark registrations between 1981 and 2002, trademark practice, and some confidence in the system, was restored by Ministerial Decree of June 5, 2004. The underlying statute remains the 1956 Trademark Law. There have been successful enforcement actions.
