PRC ADOPTS MEASURES FOR MANAGING INTERNET INFORMATION SERVICES

On 1 October, 2000, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) adopted the Measures for Managing Internet Information Services (the Measures), with the aim of regulating Internet information services. This is one of several measures that the PRC has imposed in its intense efforts to control the content and activities on the Internet.
