Operation of Gambling Devices in Alabama

The District Attorney sought an order permanently enjoining the operation of the gambling devices established in Jefferson County by Apeellees, the race course owners, and also challenged the constitutionality of Ala. Code 1975, § 13A-12-20. The Supreme Court of Alabama held that Ala. Code 1975, § 13A-12-20 was constitutionally valid and reversed the judgment granted in favor of the race course owners, holding that their activities did not violate Alabama law.
