Software License in China

The Federal District Court in Oregon granted the Defendant’s motion for summary judgment and denied Plaintiff’s summary judgment motion. The Plaintiff sued the Defendant for Defendant's breach of its obligations to make minimum royalty payments. Plaintiff further alledged that Defendant did not use its best efforts to sell software licenses in China and that Defendant did not refrain from translating or reverse engineering software, as required by the parties’ agreement.
