Developing Countries And The Gats Multilateral Framework For The Supply Of E-services -- An Overview

Electronic commerce regulation at a global level is yet to be fully developed. The World Trade Organization (WTO) could be the forum for such development, but it would require a more active approach, both from the WTO itself and from its Member States. The General Agreements on Trade in Services (GATS) treaty, if it is to be applied to electronic services in developing countries, must be clarified to be used effectively.
