Internet Governance Policies In The Eu And In The Us

When the Internet started its tremendous growth in the second part of the 90ies, several prominent international bodies developed principles for Internet policy. From a very general and somehow simplified perspective, the US adopted principles aimed at avoiding restrictions on the development of the Internet whereas the EU chose the path of regulation, through the enactment of successive Directives.
