Electronic Transactions Act In Barbados

The enactment of the Electronic Transactions Act 2001 (the “ETA”) has provided Barbados with a regulatory framework necessary for the development of e-commerce. The ETA, which is part of a legislative package that also includes the Evidence Act and the Interpretation Act, notably gives legal effect to electronic signatures.
