Eu Topic: The @lis Programme

@LIS stands for Alliance for the Information Society with Latin America and the Caribbean. This Programme was launched on December 6, 2001 by the European Commission, following a political dialogue between the governments of the EU, Latin America and the Caribbean held in Rio de Janeiro in June 1999. Then, a statement was adopted following the EU-Latin America and Caribbean ministerial meeting on Information Society, which took place on 26-27 April 2002 in Seville, which was attended by the Ministers responsible for Information Society issues in the European Union and in Latin American and Caribbean countries.
