The registration of domain names under “.jp,” the two-letter Top Level Domain for Japan, is administered by the Japan Registry Service Co., Ltd (“JPRS”) since April 1, 2002. Before that date, the Japan Network Information Center (“JNIC,”) a non-profit organization administered “.jp” domain names. In order to resolve conflicts regarding domain names, the JP Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (“JP-DRP”) was adopted by the JNIC and implemented on April 1, 2002.
