Electronic Procurement In The Philippines

With a view to preparing the Philippines’ entry into the information society , the Filipino government decided to foster the development of electronic procurement, with the launch in November 2000 of the Internet-based Electronic Procurement System (“EPS”). The Republic Act n.9184 providing for the Modernization, Standardization and Regulation of the Procurement Activities of the Government of July 22, 2002 (the “Government Procurement Reform Act”) and several Executive Orders specify the role of the EPS.
