Personal Data Protection Under The Law Of Taiwan

The processing of personal data in Taiwan is regulated by the Computer Processed Personal Data Protection Law of August 11, 1995 (the “CPPDPL.”) The CPPDPL was enacted in order to regulate the computerized processing of personal data so as to avoid any infringement of the rights appertaining to an individual's personality and facilitate reasonable use of personal data.
