The Malaysian Communication And Multimedia Act

Communications and multimedia in Malaysia are governed by the Communication and Multimedia Act n.588, which was brought into force on April 1, 1999, and which is referred to as the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998 (the “CMA”). This Act provides for a restructuring of the converged Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”) industry.
