Cyber Crimes Under The Law Of Singapore

Computer crimes in Singapore are punishable under the Computer Misuse Act, which was enacted in 1993 and amended in 1998 to enhance its provision (the “CMA.”) The Computer Misuse Act notably sets out a few types of criminal offences most of which involve the unauthorized use of computers, namely: access to computer material; modification to computer material; use or interception of computer service; obstruction of use of computer; and disclosure of access code.
