Electronic Transactions Under The Law Of Singapore

Electronic transactions in Singapore are regulated by the Electronic Transactions Act, which was enacted on July 10, 1998 (the “ETA”), and which creates the legal framework for electronic commerce transactions in Singapore. The ETA sets forth several regulations aimed at supporting electronic transactions, and notably asserts the validity of contracts entered into electronically.
