Processing Personal Data Under The Law Of Hungary – Part Two

In Hungary, the processing of personal data is regulated by the Act n. LXIII of 1992 on the Protection of Personal Data and Disclosure of Data of Public Interest, which was promulgated on November 17, 1992 (the “Personal Data Protection Act.”) The principles set forth in this Act derive from fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution, which was promulgated on October 23, 1989, included in particular Article 59, which concern the rights to protection of privacy, secrecy and personal data.
