Global Internet Project

The Global Internet Project (GIP) has become concerned with fostering the growth of the Internet. The GIP is concerned with working toward the independence of the Internet by addressing potential problems that may arise as the Internet becomes more commonplace. The GIP has worked with the goals of not requiring governmental assistance when these problems arise. The development of tools to anticipate these needs would be better suited to solve the issues that arise.

The following questions have been addressed in this article:

Would the GIP be considered to be a “lobbying” organization?
What areas does GIP focus their efforts upon?
Does the GIP believe that SPAM is best addressed by legislation?
