Spamming Under The Law Of Sweden

In Sweden, unsolicited commercial communications, also referred to as spamming, are regulated by the Marketing Practices Act 95:450, as amended in order to implement EU E-Commerce Directive (the “Marketing Practices Act.”) Spamming is also regulated on the European level by European Directive 2002/58/EC on Privacy and Electronic Communications that came into force on July 31, 2002 (the “Electronic Privacy Directive.”)
