Stripping Constitutional Rights Under The Usa Patriot Act

The USA Patriot Bill once it was introduced was a heavily debated piece of legislation. The legislation has not been proposed with modifications due to changing concerns of terrorism activities and public safety. Title V of the amended bill tends to diminish personal fundamental freedoms by stripping Americans of their citizenship if they have supported terrorist activities and would allow for their imprisonment for an indefinite time. Additionally, this legislation has attempted to target immigrants for terrorist activities and will deport individuals if it is subjectively determined that they pose some threat to national security.

The following questions have been addressed in this article:

Would this stripping of their citizenship rights pass constitutional muster?
Can the deportation principles of resident aliens pass constitutional muster?
