Sucre Protocol (latin America)

The Andean Community adopted the Cartagena Agreement in an effort to integrate the communities of the countries involves as well as to foster democratic virtues and goals in an effort to improve their foreign policy. However, due to the changing circumstances of the Andean Community and the need for economic liberalization, changes to the Cartagena Agreement were required. The Sucre Protocol has had the effect of dictating the foreign and economic policies for the Andean Community and has been instrumental in the economic growth of this community.
