Information Society Services Providers General Liability Under Spanish Law

The general principles of Information Society Services Providers (“ISSP”) liability are specified in the Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (the "LISSEC.") The LISSEC, which was approved by the Spanish Parliament on July 11, 2002 and which came into force on October 12, 2002, incorporates in Spanish law EU Directive 2000/31/CE on Electronic Commerce.
