Duty To Imprint / Flag On Websites In Germany

The providers of content on Web sites have the duty to identify themselves. With the new law EGG (Gesetz ueber rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen fuer den elektronischen Geschaeftsverkehr) regulating the general legal framework for electronic business connections, the TDG (Teledienstgesetz), the law for telecommunication services, was revised. The summary describes the necessary specifications on Web sites of companies, lawyers, tax advisors and certified public accountants mandatory since January 2002.
