reviewing the summaries they have posted, you are enabled to determine
appropriate representation for your situation. IBLS does not practice law, and
as such does not provide legal services directly to the public.

The summaries are provided for general background information on various areas

Where does IBLS get their law summaries from?
We have legal partners in more than 30 countries who submit summaries related
to their area of legal expertise. IBLS supplements this content with summaries
written by internationally recognized authorities who work in government,
private practice, and for non profit organizations that are taking an active
hand in shaping E-Commerce Law. In addition, IBLS’ legal staff will supplement

What are the U.S. and EU Law Portals?
IBLS recognized that although E-Commerce is a global phenomenon, there is also
specific need for pinpoint focus on an individual region or country. The IBLS

and EU Law Portal, www.uslaw.ibls.com
are the first in a grouping of portals under the IBLS Global Law Portal,
www.ibls.com . Containing sample summaries, and in depth “Topic of the
Week”, and special attention to government resources, it is an excellent quick
guide for information on U.S. & EU regulations and issues concerning online
business. Much of the Portal content is available as a service for IBLS site
visitors at no charge, and also offer individuals seeking more in depth
information online subscription options.

What is the process that the IBLS law summaries pass through in
order to be featured in the data base?
Our summaries go through extensive quality control by our staff of professional
legal librarians and licensed attorneys. After revision, source law
verification, and formating, the summaries are then indexed to make them easily
accessible to our subscribers.
